Come and discover the origins of the new city with us at our family-friendly craft and re-enactment sessions at Milton Keynes Libraries this half term!
We’ll be leading fun, FREE sessions to get kids thinking about city planning and introduce the new town origins of Milton Keynes. Meet our city planner re-enactors whilst cutting, gluing and designing your very own creation!
Thursday 22 February
10am–1pm, Central Milton Keynes Library
Saturday 24February
10am–12.30pm, Kingston Library
“Great environment, great atmosphere”, “lively and interesting”, “Thank you for such an amazing session!”
Our supper clubs with local community groups are proving popular, so we’re opening up the opportunity to participate to the general public! If you’ve ever wondered how to design a city, or been curious about how Milton Keynes was created, then this is the event for you.
Dinner is included so why not join us to have informal discovery and discussion around the original plan for our city. Maybe you can come up with some new goals for Milton Keynes? Maybe you’ll like the original goals? We’d love to find out!
Join us on Friday 8September, 7–9pm at the Events Space at MK Gallery.
Please be aware that the event will be recorded and photographed. All food will be vegan, but please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies.
Places are very limited so book your free ticket now!
You are invited to share your vision of the city to be included in our online Gallery. Be inspired by our past innovations and motivated by our future ambitions. Get creative and make your mark – What Makes Milton Keynes?
All you need to do is create an image of the future – your Milton Keynes. This could be a drawing, painting, collage or take a photograph of a sculpture or anything else you create and upload it for free!
Visit our Gallery page and look out for more events and activities coming soon as part of the Good City project.
